Sleepstation is a clinically validated, digitally delivered, screening and support service for those experiencing sleep problems, including a full online programme of cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBTi).
The Sleepstation course is run entirely online. It helps people identify the underlying causes of their sleep problem, and provides the support and guidance needed to improve sleep.
If you feel you want to use this service, please click on the self-referral link above. Then click "Check if I can get NHS Access". When asked to search for your GP surgery, type in Chapel Lane Surgery.
CBTi is not recommended for people with:
-
seizures, epilepsy, psychosis, history of a psychotic episode, bipolar disorder, mania, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia or a personality disorder because it can make symptoms worse.
-
severe untreated anxiety, untreated PTSD or a circadian rhythm disorder, as evidence shows that it’s better to treat these things first.
Sleepstation cannot accept referrals for patients who are:
- under 18.
- pregnant and have any pregnancy related complications or risk factors (including age, obesity, chronic health condition and/or lifestyle factors such as smoking or alcohol use).
- currently undergoing CBT with another provider.
- currently receiving psychiatric support (unless referred by the psychiatrist).
- unable to use a computer/smart phone and access the internet daily.
